DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION ACCESS AND DEVELOPMENT
The Department of Information Access and Development ("IAD") is charged with servicing the surveillance and ad hoc data needs of the Member and Regulatory Services Division (the "Division") and providing technical assistance to staff. IAD, in tandem with the Department of Regulatory Planning and Strategy ("DRPS"), acts as liaison to the Systems Division's Market Surveillance Systems ("MSS") team in the development and maintenance of regulatory surveillance programs and tools. IAD identifies potential areas of automation, recommends solutions, hardware and software upgrades and implements the solutions where appropriate. In support of the Division's investigative efforts, IAD programming staff specializes in the quick turnaround of ad hoc surveillance reports. IAD also consults with Systems Division developers to enhance current exception report processing to provide greater automated analysis and administrative support. Together with the Systems Division, IAD is incorporating web-based systems technology in selected surveillance programs. This state-of-the-art technology, coupled with modern PC based client/server platforms, significantly enhances staff efficiency, effectiveness and disaster recovery capabilities in detecting market activity that violates CBOE and SEC Rules. IAD also represents CBOE technical interests with the Intermarket Surveillance Group.
If you would like further information about IAD, please call (312) 786-7753.
