REGULATORY LIAISON DEPARTMENT

The primary goal of the Regulatory Liaison Department (the "Department" or "RLD") is the development and implementation of strategic programs that support member education and enhance the quality of member services and communication with a focus on fostering and improving member knowledge and compliance with CBOE and SEC Rules and trading procedures. The programs include facilitating meetings between regulatory staff and representatives of new member organizations to discuss the "rules of the road" based on the type of business conducted by that member and making presentations and holding training seminars for members regarding key regulatory issues. The Department also develops and distributes written communications that clarify rules, policies and trading procedures and contain best practices advice, separate and apart from CBOE Regulatory Circulars. RLD staff also works to address suggestions, concerns and complaints from members regarding regulatory issues.

RLD also acts as a liaison between other Departments within the Division and is responsible for developing and implementing Division staff training and development programs.

If you would like further information about RLD, please call (312) 786-7715.
